When coach Greene was asked to comment on William statement about having the mini-camp named after him Coach Greene just laughed. "Ricky has a lot of things to learn about Utah and the Stixx Boyzz. Second, This is the only place the Board of Corrections would let me go on a work release until the start of the season." |
Draft Preview
As the Syssa Stars League draft takes place the Utah Stixx Boyzz are looking to beef up from last years disappointing 8th place finish. "We feel like we have a solid group of personnel returning but we still have a lot of question marks." Stixx Boyzz coach Tom Greene was quoted as saying. "We really need to strengthen our running back position and our defense is full of holes." Coach Greene was also quoted as saying.
When we took a look at our returning players and what was out there available in the draft we decided that we needed to improve our offense. "The name of the game is simple. Score more points than your opponents" Stixx Boyzz Offensive Coordinator LaVerell Greene said. "We hope after the draft that we can do just that."
"We have decided to take some chances with this years draft. We were really hurt by injuries last year at the running back position and we don't want to go through that again. If we can get either of our first two picks we will be doing fine in that position. We are also looking to add some depth at running back as well." Laverell said. "We also want some help at Wide Out as well.
Defensive Coordinator LaRhonda Greene said "On defense we are looking to add depth at the Linebacker and Defensive Backs. We are changing our philosophy a bit and going with either a 0-3-0, 0-2-1, 0-1-2, or a 0-0-3 scheme. Hopefully, this will pay off for us."
