Rivals off and on the field!
Kickoff of the SSL season is still over a month away but competition is already becoming intense. The West Jordan Worms, one of the SSL pending expansion franchises, are trying to lure Stixx Boyzz coach Felix.
"Felix has had a longstanding relationship with the Worms heirarchy, in fact members of the Worms ownership group helped Felix get an interview with the Stixx Boyzz." said an unnamed Worms official. Stixx Boyzz management countered with this terse statement "This team is not even in the league yet and they are trying to steal our coach, I don't think so."
Felix coached the Stixx Boyzz to a second place finish in his first season with the club and enthusiasm was high in the off season. "If Felix goes we will probably suck worse than out high school teams." said one anonymous fan.
Rumors swirled about Felix's 2001 assignment when he was spotted at a convenience store east south east of West Jordan buying a dozen worms. Does this mean he is going to the new franchise? SSL fans will have to wait and see.

Charge!
The Utah Stixx Boyzz are saddened to announce the releasing of coach Felix from his contract as head coach of the Utah Stixx Boyzz Fantasy Football Club. "This action is due to Felix's off field conduct unbeacoming a Stixx Boyzz." Stixx Boyzz Managing General Partner Rex Prescott said.
West Jordan police arrested Felix late last week after he was found roaming the streets of a West Jordan neighborhood looking for packages from Eddie Bauer. When police searched Felix's car they found an undisclosed amount of clothing from Eddie Bauer, Gap along with Puppy dog shirts from Old Navy.
"This could not have come at a worst time for us. We are right in the middle of draft evaluations and getting ready for the season. We are a team of highly respected individuals. We want people who are of the highest moral character in our organization." Mr. Prescott said.
A search is on for a replacement coach for the Stixx Boyzz. Early candidates include Brent Musberger, Irv Cross, Jimmy "the Greek", and Lavell Edwards. When asked to comment on coaches. Mr. Prescott answered with a stern "No Comment!"
